INTRODUCING REV. RONALD V. MYERS, SR., M.D.

"The result of an unfortunate cumulative affect of a medical decision process influenced by pain patient bigotry, abuse, racism and discrimination.

This includes discounting the legitimate complaints of sickle cell anemia patients seeking medical care, labeling them “drug seekers” and “drug abusers.”

Also, the effect of ignoring sickle cell anemia treatment guidelines by the NIH and other medical experts, concerning the appropriate treatment of sickle cell anemia patients in a pain crises, with adequate narcotics.

By using the excuse that the CDC said 'they will lose their medical license if they give narcotics to sickle cell anemia patients,' opinionated and arrogant medical providers cause the premature deaths of far too many African American chronic pain patients with SCA, 'Medical Manslaughter'.

"The consequences from providing inappropriate treatment to our sickle cell community members diagnosed by ignorant, cocky, opinionated hospitalist, specialist, nurses and/or hospitals who refuse to listen, or implement, but rather ignore the evidence-based experiences or treatment plans of patients and/or suggestions, past practices and/or treatments from Sickle Cell Expert Colleagues that results in the emergency room or hospital patient's death!"
